Apparently, Russia declared war with Georgia few days ago. They attacked the Georgian province of South Ossetia, just minutes ahead before the actual start of Opening Ceremony in Beijing National Stadium "Bird's Nest".

1. They NEVER should have given China the Olympics. They have NO human rights....period.
2. Maybe they thought...by giving them the Olympics, it would cause reform.
3. The Chinese people deserve better. Pleae don't make anymore racist threads or comments.

From what I can gather by the sober continuous comments by our dedicated and thoughtful broadcasters, this is a time of great public contradiction for China. At least I think I heard one of them mention it.

My comment on your topic was that the Chinese tour guide was stabbed, too, so it wasn't a crime on Americans per se but a random crime.
