I didn't like it, either. It was all "OMG GUYZ, WE NEEDZ THE BRAVE WHITE MAN TO SAVE DA PO' BLACK MAN!" Also, I didn't particularly like the writing style; maybe that was because I overanalyzed it in 9th grade, though. I like the title theme though, that's kinda cool.

i don't pretend to only read 'literature'. i enjoy a good book for the sake of a good book. i like greg isles, stephen king, john steinbeck, michael slade. a mix of the two. i prefer a good storyline over pretentious bullshit for the sake of pretentious bullshit
