We had one when I was a kid. It was fun then, not so much in our teen years. Now I don't like cottaging or even any kind of camping.

The worst are these stupid fucking assholes that go "winter camping". In Canada. In winter.

Ivory floats. The morning bath in the lake is chilly or should I say refreshing. Cold ashes from the fire get put into the outhouse so it isn't smelly. All shitting must be done in the outhouse. Peeing can be anywhere outside as long as the neighbours can't see especially at night.

ugh

We were vehicularly harrassed by truckers while driving over the pass. I still get pissed when I think about it. They almost ran us off the road multiple times and kept shooting beams of light into our car from all angles. Fucking assholes. As if we weren't already blinded enough by their regular lights. We seriously almost died that night. Oh, AND it was icy.

and Nois, we're doing the Banff/Jasper drivethrough on around the middle of August. Jasper was beautiful but I am sick to death of the "you haven't seen banff yet then" shit.

I hear the drive through the mountains can be pretty scary at...

I wish there were cottages around here.

We just have bears and cougars attacking like crazy lately. Don't even want to go camping.

I'm going to my first cottage week in August. I HOPE there's a toilet.

We DID spend a day at a friend's dad's cottage on Lake Huron, but he's a hoarder so it's pretty much uninhabitable... you just go in to pee in the functioning toilet and go back out to the lake.

At least N.S. communities run sewage pipes into the Bay of Fundy. ick. I've been to a half dozen friends cottages north of Toronto. ALL had wells dug and sewage holding tanks.

Fuck if I am using a smelly outhouse. I'll shit in the woods when hunting. But thats it. Don't need a deer tick trying to go up my tight sphincter.
