This has been something bugging me for a while.I've got plenty of friends,so I'm not a shut in, but I do prefer my time to be solitary. I spend a lot of that solitary time here,so sometimes it feels like I have closer bonds with you folks. Sometimes, except when I do something with the real life ones.Its an ongoing circle. In both cases though,people find me a little weird and say that I never reveal anything about myself. Strange.

Boards are a hobby. The people I have met on them that I like are a pleasing side affect of posting. However, if something bad happens in my life I would turn to my RL friends and family first. I would discuss it on the boards maybe but e-friends cannot hug you and essentially do not know you.

So have you started collecting more e-friends then real life friends? When get good news do you immediately want to share it with a forum friend or your best friend since high school? I've reached a point where some of my online friends are more important to me then people in my real life that I have known for years. But I am a shut in and I'm just wondering how you "normal" people feel about your e-friends.
