I live in coastal L.A. We cab it. I never trust the designated driver. If I'm too cheap to cab it, then I'll be designated driver myself. Or I'll just stay home and drink with the husband, which fortunately results in hanky panky.

Designated Driver, Cab, or if I'm DESPERATE I'll call my parents or little brother.

I had a friend killed by a drunk driver, so its not something I would even consider.

DD or a cab. A nice military perk is that they make guys stay back to drive the drunk van. So we'd drive downtown and call the van to come and get us when we wanted to go home. We'd get the car the next day.

Designated driver (usually tends to be me, I usually have 1 or 2 drinks). Or we take a cab, it's like $8-10 for the area we usually go to.

How do you go out to clubs/bars and get wasted and still manage to get home (safely)? I've always wondered this...how people can get plastered in say, LA or any other major city without good public transit. Do you cab it? Wouldn't that be ass expensive?

It just begs the question why anyone would live in LA or such if they wanted to be a partier.
