It really is becoming a very big problem. I live in Colorado where child obesity isn't as bad as it is in other states, but I am seeing more and more morbidly obese kids. 130 - 170 pound 8 year-old come in to get their tonsils out, nose surgery etc. Pre-teens over 200 pounds. Kids having surgery have enough risk, this just adds to it.

I blame the parents. Shit we had a 6 year old who out weighed me and threw up when he was waking up because he obviously ate that morning...

depends on your definition of young. when i was "young" (in my 20's) i could eat whatever i wanted, drink all night, come home at three in the morning, pound down a meatball sub, and sleep like a baby. now that i'm older, i can't eat anything heavier than saltines after seven pm.
