Emily Giffin - she has a good book about someone who thought she didn't want children and how it affected her relationship. It was funny and well written.

Lonesome Dove, the book, is amazingly close to the miniseries. I don't know if I've ever seen a book more faithfully adapted. It's really wonderful.

Pea Eye is a retard, but did you notice (for anyone who's read it) that Pea Eye seemed to become a lot smarter and cooler in Streets of Laredo?

I can't read his books. I do enjoy this movie -- it's one of my alltime favorites. But his books are just TOO fucking descriptive and drag like my ass on a monday.

Lonesome Dove is one of the best books I ever read. When you're done you WILL be ordering all of his other books. Most of which have been made into movies, which you will then be watching.

Ugh, I can't watch that, it was Snoopy's favorite miniseries. He wanted to name our theoretical second son Call. He did want the name Augustus at first, but I told him I'd kill him myself if he tried to push that one through.

I almost recommended The Thorn Birds but I didn't know if you were down with priest-screwing. (It's pretty hot. Good choice)

Name of the Rose is good, it's just very very slow. Did you ever see the movie?
