Yeah, Bill wasn't told until like the day before and just wrote a HUGE letter to his wife, which made Myra discount him when she got his journal.

But he'd know about the swap way ahead of time, of should.

With planning, full knowledge of the course of the game, and a modicum of security, the Journal would work.

In fact, the Mole could have 2 Journals, one they pretend to jot stuff down in, and another with prepared strategems. Maybe written in invisible ink... maybe.

Anyhow, I don't see how the idea can be easily dismissed.

Yep. Kathyrn was completely paranoid while Bill didn't give a shit until he was warned that the journals would be swapped.

I highly doubt Player's Journals are so easy to peek into. That would be a great way to learn who the Mole isn't.

I also highly doubt the Mole spends any time writing down all the challenge details in their Journal like a Player would, just on the off chance that they happen to leave the item that would expose them in some unsecure position.

Yeah..there is no way the Mole's journal looks anything but like a contestants journal. That si the whole point..to appear to be a player so te Mole has to actually write things down in it about other people, observations, etc.. this way if someone were to come across it, nothing would be suspected.

The confessionals make sense....

I just knew that they communicated w/ Kathryn at night in the hotels as well so I was questioning that but I guess it could all be done during the confessionals.

That is my bet as well, they can quckly tape the confesional and then feed them information about the next task and stuff.

I think the US versions do it during the filmed personal diaries. That seemed to be where Kathryn made all her communications with producers.

In the first season of the UK version, the Mole would actually sneak out at night and meet the "handler" in his car outside the hotel or on some nearby road. In the second season, the Mole had a little radio receiver and would indicate the message was received by flashing the room lights. The clandestine methods of communication...

I'm sure a lot of information is given to the Mole before production even begins. Probably more general things, such as missions to look out for, locations, etc..., just so they can think and plan ahead. As for more specific things, it is probably relayed while the players are giving their confessionals.

I remember from Season 1 it came out that Kathryn always had the hotel rooms closest to the production staff and that maybe Jim noticed and only strengthened his case for her being the Mole. This season it seems like there are no hotel rooms..
and that they all share room/live together in maybe boy and then girl community rooms. How is the Mole being fed info?

Remember back when Nicole stayed up all night and a bunch of players were right outside that cabin? How was it done...
