Here is my problem with the ten commandments- why exactly are there 10?

You simply do not need ten. The list of ten commandments was artificially and deliberately inflated to get it up to ten. Here's what happened:

That's kinda Carlin's LEGACY.� Always SECOND to Richard Pryor.

Carlin was the FIRST Host of SNL, but Richard Pryor's hosting of SNL put it on the MAP.� I missed the FIRST episode of SNL but saw the SECOND and didn't miss another for the rest of the season based largely upon THIS SKETCH:

Occupation: Foole is one of the first Carlin albums I heard. Almost every time I am confronted with a form that asks for my occupation, I consider writing "Foole" in the blank. Sometimes I do it, sometimes I don't. It's worth it even if the chuckle is only for myself.

Loved him! He was such a wizard with a twist of words. I loved that you had to be smart enough to get his humor - just watching the idiots in the audience that would go, "Wha?" was entertainment enough at one of his shows.
