My two favorites were Pearl Islands and Palau. Pearl Islands because of the village scenes and the castaways jumping off the boat with the clothes on their backs. Palau because of the individual immunities, three people sent home, and the beautiful scenery.
I thought the worst was Africa - it was just too depressing.

Australia had the one of the most boring and generally uneven premiere ever. They tried to do it like Borneo but they started the stereo-typing right from the start (the loud-mouth, the bitch etc.) and half the cast wasn't shown in first half of the episode. Oh and rawks.

Marquesas, Amazon, PI and China had very good premiere but the best was Borneo. Simply because of the first act, in fifteen minutes they maneged to introduce most of the cast, really capture the experience of...

Watched Survivors 1-10 only so far (making my way all the way to Micronesia!) and Palau definitely had a great premiere. The whole immunity on the beach thing and 20 people living on the same beach not knowing what to do and stuff, was definitely memorable.

I barely remember the premiere of Cook Islands. I agree that Fiji's was boring. I loved the premieres of ASS, Pearl Islands, China, and Micronesia.

I really liked Fiji's premiere. It was really exciting seeing 19 of the castaways on a raft with Jeff flying overhead in his plane. I didn't know what to expect with Melissa dropping off and the weird Palau start

Hmmm I generally love all the premiere episodes (except Fiji), but my favourite ones are Amazon (due to the battle of the sexes twist), Pearl Islands (in the village, etc), All-Stars (because it was a good idea before Twatwaffle tried to take over) and China (I liked the themes)...

Micronesia's was also good, but it'll take me a few seasons before I consider it to be classic =)

Sandra's comment on the local woman in the village loving Trish in "a sexual way" makes Pearl Islands the best by far. Followed by Micronesia.

All Stars and Fans vs. Favorites were the most exciting premieres. Australia and Africa's were the least exciting

Amazon and ASS had the two best premieres, IMO. China's is not far behind.

My personal faves are Amazon, All-Stars, Vanuatu, Palau, Guatemala (How could anyone not forget the 11 mile hike in the jungle), Cook Islands, China, and Micronesia. The worst for me would probably be Fiji.

Yeah Vanuatu wasn't that bad. I agree that Borneo was probably 1 of the worst because they didn't know what they were doing. I think Africa's was the worst though

I don't understand why the Vanuatu premiere episode is so hated. It wasn't the best but I would put it about middle of the pack. I thought that the introductory ceremony was kind of cool and it was the only season, prior to China, where the indigenous culture was featured in the opening episode. Also, Chris surviving the first Tribal Council was a shocker to the average viewer. The premiere should have been longer though. Many premiere episodes (Outback, Thailand, Palau, Cook...

l think a good premiere will usually start an ok season. I loved china's mainly because they introduced the cast before heading to the temple which brought culture. Fiji's premeire was confuseing with the hole cast gruped together, everyone weren't shown until the first challenge. But the season did improve midway. I liked Micronesia's with that swimming for the idol challenge.
