It wouldn't be any burden to the system if there wasn't a fucking system to begin with. If smokers had to pay for their own chemo there sure as shit would be less smokers.

It certainly would be less of a burden on the system if the smoker actually did die at 50. This isn't 1932 anymore, though. A smoker can typically live just as long as a nonsmoker, even if he is riddled with debilitating health problems. But he needs the system to help him get that far, and thus is way, way more burdensome than the average nonsmoker.

Now, if we just went through and euthanized all the smokers, there wouldn't be any long-term problems at all.

Ontario & Quebec have joined British Columbia, Manitoba, the Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, and Prince Edward Island in the tobacco display ban.

I live in BC and love seeing no cigarettes on display (especially in Pharmacies where cigarettes are still sold)...
