Deep Impact was HORRIBLE! It was cheesy too, but not in an entertaining way. Deep Impact (hereafter DI) was like 14 stories thrown together. The loser news lady suddenly gets noticed, goes straight to the anchor desk, and then just dies. Elijah and LeeLee get married, and then LL's mom leaves the baby with HER to take care of....on a motorcycle?!...

The movie physics web site has a great review of Armageddon. Here's my favorite part...

To get an idea of the asteroid's size, consider that Texas is 1,289,000 meters long from the eastern side to the western tip. Although the asteroid is misshapen, for convenience we'll assume it's spherical with a diameter of 1,289,000 meters. If it has the same density...

Oh. Deep impact was good..The day after tomorrow was a major disappointment..Pearl Harbor was pretty epic, though I hate it.

They both had the cheesy hero astronaut bit, but Deep Impact's wasn't so eyerolly.

Armageddon was fun in a so cheesy it's good kind of way. Liv Tyler though was useless as always. The guys aside from Ben Affleck were fun too. Good supporting cast at least.

I watched Armageddon back exactly 10 years ago in 1998 with me and my parents. This story is about a comet hits the earth.

I love the ending scene about Liv's character, Grace gets married with Ben Affleck's character, AJ in that film.
