I have a drawer in the bedroom nightstand, but it's really more of a lipgloss and change drawer. I guess that's all I have in my pockets when I empty them before taking off my pants. The tiebacks for the bedroom curtains are in there as well.

New house, more junk drawers. The kitchen has two. One for useless crap I can't stand to toss, and the tool drawer. It contains an assortment of screws, nuts, bolts, nails, hammers, screw divers, and tape for every occasion. The office drawer may overtake the block before we're done. I probably don't need all of those paperclips.

masking tape, packing tape, screwdriver, jar of screws/nails, hammer, pliers, toys from boxes of cereal, batteries, phone line splitter, yoyo...

I think most of my basement is a junk drawer.

We don't have basements in Tucson. It forces me not to be a packrat.

I have a junk drawer in my office,bathroom,bedroom,kitchen...except they are all organized with a tray. I finally went through my storage room and it took me two weeks but I sorted everything in piles and then boxed things up and put things in drawers and organizer trays. Now I know where everything is at. It's a wonderful feeling.

My mother has a very organized "junk" drawer too. One day I will properly turn into her and inherit her habits. I myself have a junk ROOM. It's all dusty in there but I dream of one day going through it. It will be fascinating and I look forward to the day.

Places at my house that have designated junk storage status:

Guest bedroom, hall closet, under the master bed, dining room table, dining room chairs, dining room corner, bottom of stairwell to attic, attic, garage, "antique" chest in living room, under the deck, behind the hot tub, in the boat, atop the microwave, atop the refrigerator, basement, upstairs closet. How in the hell did I acquire so much junk!!! Only have 1300 sq. ft. and I feel the need to downsize!!

Yes, of course I do. I have one in the kitchen and one in my bedroom. The kitchen drawer has millions of twist ties, toothpicks, menus, matches, batteries, pens, scissors, and a lot of other crap. The bedroom drawer has Tylenol, DS games, memory cards, pens, post-its, candy, lip gloss, lots of other crap there too.

I'm proud of myself for containing the junk to two drawers.

I have a bunch of shoeboxes taking the place of junk drawers. They're all shoved under my bed since I refuse to root through them at this point.

Mice actually started out as a receipt drawer for big purchases. Then became the random crap I never need but aren't willing to throw away yet drawer.
