I had a season 4 flashback when Bo was in the finals. The show is so fucking manipulated it's scary.

Bo sucked in the finals, so the crap he got was well deserved.

Tonight is going to be a win-win. Either the fans on the message boards will be in meltdown, or the judges (mostly Randy) will be so pissed they won't even clap <3 Can't wait.

I think this is the problem with finales with two front runners. It's always interesting...

they do this every year... and recently if a 16 or 17yr old is the finale - they win - period. I'm on the fence with this. I want David Cook to win and I think he deserves it much more than that nasal singer David Archuleta. At the same time I realize David Cook will be better off if he loses.

Reports have stated for weeks now that AI has had its worst season ever with the ratings... they could change things around (a little) if David Cook were to win and make the viewers feel...

Cook will win, and i wouldn't be surprised if it is revealed that he always had the highest votes every week, a la Clarkson.

I don't think Archuleta was nearly as good as the judges wanted us to believe. In my book, they were pretty close but Cook was less boring, more contemporary, more marketable.

I don't know if Simon was using reverse psychology to get people to vote (I'm sure he gets a cut from Dial Idol) or if he thinks that David Cook would do better without the curse of being an AI winner.

Cook had the best performance of the night with his Collective Soul cover, hands down. His one song was >>>> all three of Devil Child's, including BORING, SAFE, PREDICTABLE, and IMPERFECT "Imagine."

I think Simon might have used the Ellen show to try and make it look like the show isn't fixed because hey "I like Cook better" but Archuleta sung better and thus I had to call it honestly...

To a certain extent, yes. I thought they were way nicer to Cookie than they were Syesha, overall. Honestly, I really had no problems with their feedback of his 3 songs. For the most part I thought it was pretty positive; save for Simon complaining about his last song choice. But as he is always saying, just an opinion. And he did say the song was beautiful. I just wish he had emphasized that part more. I thought their comments on Syesha were rather negative, overall. So in that...

The rest was predictable. "Imagine" was nowhere near as solid as the first time. His coronation song was right on par with the shitastic songs of Idol yore.

David A has no pop star appeal. He's too classical. I'm not saying he's a bad singer, by no means. He is very talented. I'm just saying he is not "pop star" material. Isn't that what American Idol is all about?

David C, on the other hand, is total pop/rock star material.

Simon was on Ellen and when she asked him who was going to win he said Cook. I don't understand how he couldn't find anything nice to say about him.

I was kind of shocked that even SIMON made it obvious that they were reading cue cards.
I was shocked even more because from last week I thought they had finally given up on Demon Spawn.
I dont get it! His performances put my to bed!
