When I first heard about it either in JR High or High school, I was really horrified. I remember asking my mom why didn't they do someothing about it at the time. She was 18 when pearl harbor was bombed and in college. She said they didn't know, not the general public. So if the gubmint knew, it wasn't common knowledge about the extermination camps among the regular folks. If they ever were overrun by Arabs (I laugh at the thought of what century/millenium they would be militarily capable) I am sure they would almost all move to America... which if past experience holds, they are going to be FAR more powerful in the US, than in Israel.

Ooh, and we still take the Holy Land, but we make it a neutral site for everyone, overseen by the UN. That would have been marginally doable sixty years ago.
