Parvati did find the HII at Exile but did not bring it back to camp because she had promised Natalie she would give it to her if she found it and she knew if Erik won immunity, she wouldn't want to give Nat the HII. It was smart of her to not bring it back.

That's from Eliza, and really not sure I buy it. You know how those Survivor...

This is quite amusing, actually. It seems so "Parvati" to just stumble onto the last clue. It's kind of a shame they didn't show her finding it and leaving it at Exile because she didn't need it!!

I asked Eliza about this and she told me that Parvati didn't bring it back because she promised to give it to Natalie if she found it, and I guess she didn't want to piss Natalie off. Also, if Erik had found out that she definitely had the idol, then he might not have given up immunity. So ultimately I think she did make the right decision in not bring it back. It would have just complicated things.

That was stupid.
She should have wrapped the idol up with a rock, then thrown it overboard when the boat reached shore. Then retrieve it later, after showing everyone she was empty-handed.

It was a fantastic move on Parvati's part. First, it shows that she correctly trusted her girls and knew her place in the tribe. Also, and more importantly, at the final Tribal Council, she can say that she didn't have to rely on an Idol for her to make it that far - she got to the final 2 on pure skill alone.

it really makes me want to see the unedited version though; understand why they did it as far as initial editing; but it be nice to see the full unedited story after you have seen the first edit version. When one thinks about, it would be interesting to see different edits having different themes; either way, it be nice to see whole unedited story...maybe the dvd might be able to offer this; but the dvd's i have so far seem to offer little as far as extra scenes...
