The website of the Gabon embassy in SA includes:

Tourism in the past at Wonga-Wongué lead to the creation of sophisticated tourist facilities. At present these are partly abandoned but could be easily recovered. A significant network covers the site.

I don't know exactly what "sophisticated" means here, but sounds like...

wow, beautiful place. I am looking forward to a non-island place again. It is great to mix it up in locales.
Anyone know when filming will start? I would imagine they are close to starting for a Sept-Dec show, correct?

If that picture is a representative for the general landscape of the land where the camps and challenges are, it looks very different then anything we have seen before.

Apparently Vanuatu and Cook Islands were the two easiest locations. In Vanuatu I remember reading someone saying that it was about 78 and sunny every day.

Well, they had fish and coconuts in Palau. In Guatemala all Yaxha really had was corn, really small fish, and ants/termites.

18 players is ideal (with odds on there being at least one injury or quit), except you can't have an equal number of each gender per tribe.
With S16 fresh in players minds, they better watch out for a Fiji-like ganging up on the women early on.

Didn't like half of the cast in Africa need to have IVs because they were so dehydrated by the end? Or was that just a myth?

Oh yeah, that's the one I was thinking of. I always get those two mixed up.

If I was applying to be on the show, I'd hope for a return to Cook Islands. China would have been cool too.

Guatemala would have been the worst, I think. I heard horror stories about the heat and humidity during that season. Stephenie almost died, apparently, after one of the gruelling challenges.
