THERE ARE NO DRIVING RULES IN FLORIDA.

I-95 and the Turnpike are like the Audobahn {unless it is raining, then it slows to 5mph}.

Just relax and bring your gun. You KNOW we are all crazy here.

You can also make a left on a red light from a ONE WAY street to another ONE WAY street in most jurisdictions, unless otherwise posted.

Very few people know this but it is true, despite all the blatant LIES told in this thread.

So far, I estimate that making a left on a red light from a one way street to another one way street has saved me approximately seven minutes during my entire lifetime.

I've squandered every single one of them.

The earlybird special rules apply 4-6 PM. You are allowed to drive under 25 mph.

Oh and make sure you get in the left lane with your signal on, even though you're not turning for at least 15 miles.
Don't forget left lane driver must drive minimum 10 miles under the speed limit.

Don't worry about the cameras on our red lights either - they are there because they film CSI:Miami all over Florida.

You can go right on red everywhere unless there are signs saying that you can't.

Around here the "Right on Red" rule applies town to town (it's not state wide)

Yeah, like pseudo and others said, you can turn right on red in Florida unless explicitly told not to do so on signage. What will trip you up, though is the difference between a red light on left and a red left arrow.

Do you have any idea what your are stating? You claim that you can go straight through a read light (except in Miami Beach.) Read that again. On a red light, in Florida, you can just go straight through it.

When I was in California a couple of years ago, there was a rule where you could turn right when the light was red if it was safe to do so.

Does the same rule apply in Florida? I'll be there in a few weeks, and I don't want to get busted.
