This kind of torture isn't good enough, they need to make sure there are even more crying and angst, possibly a nervous breakdown on stage. Pork was told to do that, he probably hasn't had an original thought of his own his entire life.

Next year, they should divide the first six finalists into THREE groups of two. Then, when they bring out the seventh, they tell him/her that he/she is bottom three, and should go stand with the other two who round out the bottom three. Much more cruelty bang-for-your-buck that way!

I was wishing they did a different twist: Ryan would have asked Porkchop to pick a side, Devil Child then decided to sit in the middle (scripted of course). Ryan says that he is technically correct because BOTH groups were safe, they boot Jon Benet, and Daddy Archtard go Virginia Tech on everybody.

Why does AI feel it's necessary to do this kind of shit on the results shows? You don't see other Idol shows doing these ridiculous gimmicks on the results shows.

Exactly. I'm not a fan, but Archtard was pretty much backed into a corner by the producers and made the only move that he knew wouldn't piss off most of the slack jaws watching. Instead of blaming Archtard for the played out gimmick, blame the producers for being such unoriginal...

I loved George. He was such a lovable chump.

That year it was amazing to have the bottom three be that side. Heck this year has been all over the place - it is hard to know who was the bottom group.

Archtard and apparently Carly and Jason are a little slow.

Ryan fucking told him to go stand with the safe group and he was like "I'll just stay in the middle." David C obviously got it and sat down with him and Carly and Jason were still looking at Ryan and he had to say again that they were the safe group and congratulate them before they got excited.

Jason's a stoner, perhaps Carly was in disbelief.

At least they didn't have Brooke be the one to choose a side. She would have talked on and on, the started crying to show how sensitive she is, then she would have talked some more and pouted, finally she'd talk even more.

Bo was the first one to take a stand, so to speak. Taylor was told by Nigel during the commercial break to do the fake out move and then go to the right group. I can't believe they're still doing this. I forgot all about it until Ryan put Jason off to the side and then I was "Oh, shit, pick the safe group night."

Exactly. People need to stop being so fucking picky. What was he supposed to do? Punching out Ryan for being an asshole two weeks in a row would have been fun to watch, but it's not a realistic option in this case. I liked how David had obviously seen (or studied up on) what they do with the top 7, and was way ahead of Ryan. If the show really feels to need to do this shit, they should at least restrict themselves to years when it's NOT so obvious which group the bottom 3 actually is...
