I think that Cody did show more emotion in his solo than he had at any point during the show, and it was precisely that "transformation" that made them pick him for the win. Mochi, in effect, lost because she was too good all along. Therefore, she didn't show the same improvement Cody did. If only Mochi had sucked a little more along the way and then used their advice to magically get better at the end, she probably would have won...

And that is exactly why I wanted Mochi to win. She NEEDS the win (and the money) much more than Cody. She's every bit as hard-working and talented as him, but he has certain genetic blessings that she just doesn't have. That's not her fault. Cody was going to have a great career either way. Mochi is going to have to work her ass off for less money and for less time before she is put out to pasture. It's sad...

Cody was one of two acceptable winners. I'd have rather seen Mochi win, but I would have been pissed off had it been Nick or Miguel. As it is, I was more "meh"...

I thought Cody has always been fascinating to watch. He's an awesome dancer. Tonight, he showed peronsality. I figured all he had to do is leap and smile and he would have won. Cody can be a lead dancer.

Mochi, while she is very very good, in my mind she's to short...

Yeah, overall (aside from continually fuming over the winner being spoiled for me by this thread's new title), throughout the whole finale I was continually taken aback to notice how fond I'd grown of them all. Can't think of another show where I've had so much affection for the finalists before.

Kinda annoyed the winner was spoiled in the thread title, but whatevs. I haven't really been that impressed with SIUAD, so it is at the bottom of my watch list of shows I DVR and I was bound to be "spoiled" as to the winner before I watched it anyway. I just watched it and am ready to make my comments.

1. The group SATC number was really, really L.A.M.E.

2. Miguel is still tragically unattractive and the one Judge's comment "Miguel is a Monster....

The Codester pulls it off. Oh. Yay. Still don't like him and his aura of entitlement.

Mochi's solo was really awesome - but I think she should have shitcanned the kimono entirely - it hid too many beautiful lines from the get go.

Nick and Gene Kelly are a good parallel. I loved Nick's solo, but then I've really liked him throughout. Maybe he shouldn't make everything look so easy and natural.

Cody absolutely hands down was the winner after that solo. Hell, it didn't even take the solo to sway me for him to win. I am a true believer that there are other forms of performance than a big ol cheesy grin on your face and Cody proved that. He always danced from the heart and executed his movement perfectly. He is amazing and especially after this show is going to go far in his career.
Mochi was great tonight but when it came down to it she just couldnt match Codys superb...

I am not a big Cody fan but his last dance was pretty good, so I didn't mind him winning over Mochi. I am so in love with Nick after his solo. Lurve him!

I can't believe that cunt Nancy voted for Cody to win.

But really, it was a no-brainer if you go back and read this thread. Cody owned the season. The others had their moments, but Cody was consistently at or near the top, and then that solo was exactly what they were telling him they wanted to see.

I never understood the Mochi love. She looks like a cockroach, to me.

Yeah, I wasn't too thrilled by that, either. With the Survivor or Idol forums, you can just avoid them until you've seen it or don't care, but with so many shows...

I don't dispute that Cody's one of the strongest technical dancers there, if not The, and he seems like a nice enough guy, but I think Cody has gone through this entire show with a subtle air of "Everyone always loves me and I'm a golden child and of course I'm going to win". That's one of the reasons I was really hoping he wouldn't win.

If he were obviously the only deserving winner, then perhaps I wouldn't mind him winning, but Mochi was...

So, I'm thinking it's going to be "So, You Think You Can Dance" for the over-15 crowd...And the drama queen who sucks will make it to the Final 3 just because that's what Bravo does...
