I hope Desmond stays on the show, probably my favorite character for LOST even though there's too many to choose from. Love how the introduced him way back in Season 2 and i hope he stays for the rest of the seasons.

Your right, I had forgotten about Daniel's constant. When Jack told him that he would see him in another life I thought he would be seen again in coming seasons. The constant thing definitely opens the door for that. Loved seeing him finally...

Jack told Desmond to be careful. I took that to mean that they both know that Desmond could be in danger. I think we'll see more of Desmond. He is one of a few people that have been to the island and Ben is after Penny. Those are two good reasons for Des to be around next season.

My guess is we'll see some exposition in S5 with Pesmond off-island, possibly showing the cat-and-mouse game between them and Ben.

I thought Desmond was never supposed to be a major player throughout the show, and that they kept his character going because he was so popular. Now that might be mis-information but I don't think his death would be a big surprise on the freighter. Besides, all the dead folk keep coming back like Obi-wan Kenobi, Yoda, and Darthy Daddy so it's not like he would completely disappear from the show. I think there is a small chance that we will know more about Desmond's fate this week or next. I'm hoping it's a good sign that he didn't go back to the island with Sayid. If he's still on the freighter when the Oceanic six arrive, I would think that would be good for his chances of reuniting with Penny. All I know for sure, is that they better not come up with some lame reason to put him back on the island. He already said he isn't going back, so to have him...

So aren't we suppose to see the Oceanic 6 make it home by the end of the season? If that's true what fate is in store for Desmond? Will Desmond make it off the freigher? Will he make it back to his beloved Penny? Will Charles Widmore be a butt munch if he finds out Des is on his freighter?

I fear that he will end up a tragic hero and never make it back to Penny. But my sincere hope is that they are reunited. I have to think at some point Charles Widmore is going to...
