Is Eliza savvy? Gezzz I've never thought of her that way. She's book smart, doesn't know when to shut up (she'd wear me out in 5 minutes with that talking), but savvvy .... naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

The thing looks like what it is, a badly carved stick. How could a player as saavy as Eliza not realize that? I'm sure she watched other seasons with HIIs that look authentic and Lord knows the faux HIIs in previous seasons did not look like the real deal and neither does this one.

Playing something vs nothing isn't dumb. It may all depend on how they edit it. Jaime said she was doubtful in China. They tried to make JFP's 'Big Lie' into something it wasn't, the fact is most of them didn't buy it. Editing made it look like they bought it in both cases.

Could you really call it "stupid." I mean playing something that may or may not be the HII can't really hurt you. It is funny, but what do you have to lose by playing it.

Doh! Wow Eliza must be channeling Homer if she really thinks that stupid thing is real. Damn! That is a bigger blunder than James not playing his two HIIs, well maybe not bigger but just as stupid.

haha that would be funny if it happened. But how could anyone other than Jason think that stick is real? Have they watched any of the previous 3 seasons? The II does not look like a stick with two eyes carved out.

Well, everyone who doesn't think it is real should imediately start doing everything they can to convince Jason (and everyone else) that it is. The faves can ramble on about some conversation they had with some drunk production person at some fanfest, and the fans can tell about conversations they overheard while they were waiting to audition. Not to mention all the women asking Jason if they can touch it...

SFnet has a link to TV guide article which peers into the future, among the things mentioned are that somehow Jason (or someone else) buys into the fake HI.

Not necessarily he is holding up the fake idol and he says "this must be the immunity idol". So he might just be trying to stir up controversy so that nobody would suspect...

Not necessarily he is holding up the fake idol and he says "this must be the immunity idol". So he might just be trying to stir up controversy so that nobody would suspect that he has the idol(which he doesn't).

FWIW, in this picture, near the right side of the picture (near's Jason's ass), there's a hat on the ground similar to Jonathan's...but it's on the Malakal side, so someone probably has a similar hat. Joel did, but he's gone now.

We we know Jason makes EI and finds the Fake Hidden ummm Unit...I doubt he's faked out, but if you are desparate even that's better than nothing.
