I'm hoping that they're pulling this 6 - 7 weeks stuff and being all hush-hush about the length of the season just to cover up the twist that some will be coming back... or that they'll eventually all be split up or something.

I don't think the ratings will matter during this dearth of no new shows. And with the strike ending, they said it will take 2 months to get shows back on the air, which is usually about the time they end for the summer, anyway. This is a weird tv season. Now we have to wait until NEXT YEAR for a new season of 24, because I don't think they are going to try to get some on this year, unless they make it a summer show and then new shows again in January. Meanwhile, trashy shows like...

I'm doing my best to stay optimistic, but it's hard to envision BB9's ratings going through the roof after seeing the numbers for the Survivor premiere.

on another board, i read that American Idol will only be up against BB until March, then it (AI) changes it's times to Tuesdays at 8 and Wednesdays at 9.

By then March Madness will be interfering with both shows.

Count me in with the people that forgot this would be up against American Idol. Good thing that I have a DVR because I will most likely be watching both of these shows. Big Brother is Big Brother though so I will be happy with whatever we get. Or at least try to be happy.
