It was a little WTF? moment for both the viewers and R&C.
I thought it would at least be an ad for Honda or Toyota or whoever, but no, just "You've won electric cars".
Is it a real car? Or some golf buggy thing? Or a little Radio Controlled toy?

I do like the idea of giving totally surrealistic prizes...
"You've both won chocolate coated elephants"
or "Love is it's own reward. Go and be happy"

Totally...

If I got to ride in their electric cars and party on their catamaran, and of course mix in verbal abuse and real truth flavor, then that'd be about the best day ever!

I mean usually I just come here for the verbal abuse and occasionally feel like I'm seasick on OT but...

There are some electric cars that are very fast and are way more than golf carts. They did call them electric vehicles. So maybe they are electric trucks. I believe Purolator in Ontario at least is changing their entire fleet to electric. They had the unveiling last month as I recall.

I don't think vehicle means golf cart. I hope they tell us at the end of the show what they actually got. I...

Well I personally was hoping that the had won a ZAP car. They are an electric car company in California that makes many such vehicles..Kind of a cool though odd design.

Sounds like one of the prizes that shows up from time to time on TPIR, yes basically a glorified big golf cart. (credited to Daimler Chrysler there) Friends were visiting relatives in a gated community in Florida and found a lot of them, and in that situation they served a purpose. Shame they couldn't have got Toyota to pony up a Prius or Honda to offer up a Civic Hybrid if they wanted to give away a useful green vehicle.

Maybe the car company found out they were too efficient, and did not require any maintenance and few parts. Along with gluttonous oil producing types were unable to make money off the consumer canned the vehicle before the airdate!

Because whoever made it didn't pay up. No cash = no brand name mention. Back in TAR 9 Mercedes got name dropped twice, so it's not like they do it for all brands.
