My mom works in a hospital and she's always like "that would never happen" and I'm like yeah, I know. I'm aware that the show is highly unrealistic but like Fluffy said we're watching to see the doctors get it on, fight, break up, make up, get it on some more etc, nothing medical about any of that.

I just finding the unrealistic parts funny sometimes b/c they're so glaring.

It doesn't bother me that much that they make shit up since it's only make believe anyway. I'm not watching for realism. (Even though some of the special effects are pretty effective.)

I watch for heating ducts in dingy basements where horny doctors stand as they kiss. And on call rooms where horny doctors get their penis' broken. And neonatal units where sexy doctors get nekid to keep babies alive.

I know that if I actually worked in the medical field, this show would drive me insane with they way they just make shit up like that. Kind of like how last week, Hunt called for someone to page a cardiothoracic surgeon when they clearly haven't had one or else someone would be around to teach Cristina and she wouldn't be moping around like they've shown her doing.

Kind of weird that all of a sudden there's no neo-natal surgeon. Last week they had to operate on a premmie baby and Arizona did it....which brings the question, why did they need Addison in the first place? And where was Arizona while Addison was there and she was operating on all these infants?

Good to know someone else was wondering the same thing. What's the difference between a pediatric surgeon that can operate on newborns and "the world's...

It really seems like an unavoidable storyline given the ages of the characters, the fact that many of them are in long-term relationships and their personalities. I mean Derek already explicitly said to Meredith prior to their post-it wedding that he wanted children and presumably happy, whole Meredith who finally took the plunge with him wants to have his babies too. She also can't possibly expect us to believe that Izzie, Lexie and a fucking pediatric surgeon (Arizona) wouldn't want...

I completely agree. They've all seemed to reach a real point of maturity in their lives, and I think it's highly reflected in their relationships. Alex and Izzie are married. Meredith and Derek are "married" but still the strongest couple right now. Callie/Arizona and Owen/Cristina are presumably in it for the long haul, TV show drama along the way notwithstanding but I really do believe they'll all be fine by the end of the season. I could see problems with Lexie and...

The preview was edited heavily as usual so chances are Meredith wasn't even saying that to Izzie, if she was I kind of don't expect the pregnancy to get that fall along. Its probably just an Izzie will lose the baby contrived drama storyline if anything.

Does Shonda think its actually realistic for none of the couples to ever have children? If she plans for the show to go on for any extended period of time someone's going to have to have a baby. These people aren't...

I don't know what to make of the pregnancy thing. I would think Izzie couldn't get pregnant with all the cancer treatment. She's also not cancer-free yet, I think. And Shonda has said that Grey's doesn't do babies. But then again, she also said Izzie didn't have a brain tumor last season either. I really don't see a pregnancy storyline fitting in with any of the couples right now.

Callie didn't sleep with Mark after entering into a committed relationship with Erica, nor did Erica profess her love to Callie. Obvs they weren't exclusive or anything, that was just a fling. She wouldn't cheat on someone she's committed to and loves I mean.

I did forget this but even so how long did she even work there for and what are the chances she became friends with Jackson. I mean there was no indication given prior that Callie was friends or even a casual acquaintance of Jackson's, not enough for me to understand why she would have invited him to...
