I tried to find my first cache a few weeks ago. It was in local park, surrounded by lots of poison ivy and mosquitos. I gave up.

I always thought it would be kind of cool to be an evil geocacher, and leave poison spiders and needles with the AIDS virus in caches.

A good movie would be if someone was killing people and leaving their bodies for geocachers to find. Eventually they locate the killer, and have a confrontation. I bet someone will steal that idea from me.

I'm really enjoying the history lesson that comes with some caches.
One was in an old WWII test bomb range. Another was in front of a cemetery for some town in the 1800s. Cool shit.
I have no interest in actually openinig up the cache (micro or not)- I just find it and bound away and leave the digging through other people's garbage to my girlfriend.

It's the perfect hobby for antisocial types. You get exercise, exposure to the outdoors, and you get to creep around pretending to mind your own business when you're really looking in tree stumps and guardrails.

So, should I get a Garmin Nuvi 350?

I know it's last years model and stuff, but I really don't need Bluetooth functionality or traffic updates.

Plus, the prices on the newer models are fucking stupid high.
